2003, interactive Installation, plexiglas, projection, sound
The interaction with the actor occurs when he/she pushes the wheel. By altering the speed, direction or frequency of this act an individual has the possibility to change the video and the sound. The projection on the wheel shows a wistful lonely woman gliding on the face of the water. When the actor starts to push the wheel s/he can take a journey with her through different emotional levels. She is able to take her down into the deep, unfathomable water. To the left and the right of the room hang two plexiglass panels, standing in relationship to the Glücksrad. In the darkness of the room one has the impression that they are floating around the wheel. The left side is a symbol for the past and memory, the right side stands for the future and hope for infinity and the natural.
